Sheet-fed offset printing is usually reserved for small-to-medium jobs, as opposed to web-to-print or traditional offset printing.
Sheet-fed printing is just as its name implies: Individual sheets are fed into the press. The quality of this type of printing is usually comparable to offset printing. Paper can be pre-cut to the desired size or cut after the job.
Today, many sheet-fed presses offer clients the opportunity to print on both sides of the material – a capability made possible by a perfecter/perfector or perfecting cylinder.
